No Takebacks

From 1996 to 2008, I made several solo bicycle tours across North America. Some were successful, and some were interrupted by injury, but all of them produced interesting stories. Following are accounts of the most memorable trips.

1996. A two day taste of bicycle touring.

1997. Three months riding across Texas, the Midwest, and the Northeast.

1998. [writing in progress] A ride into the West, defeated by an awful Texas summer.

2002–2003. A mix of touring and dropping sea anchor in the American Southwest.

2007–2008. Baltimore to Florida to Texas, and kissing that sweet dirt on the other side of the Sabine.

Buildouts. A breakdown of tour gear I've carried across the years.

Observations. Debriefs and advice for those considering solo bicycle tours.
